Q. Isn't buying through the Internet a little risky?

Not at all!
Magic Light inc. security measures are on the leading edge of technology and will protect you against loss or unauthorised use of confidential information. Our servers use the most recent information transmission technology (Secure Socket Layers) and high security encryption methods.

With this secured connection, all transactions are made safely. The information that is submitted and encrypted cannot be read during the transfer to the financial institution. Encryption is a technique aimed at securing transactions made on a public payment system, like what is found on the Internet. The encryption "locks" access to the information and the recipient of the message is the only one with the key that allows entry.

Q. What's all this about "cookies"?
A.
"Cookies" are small pieces of information that certain Web site pages place on your computer's hard drive. Cookies are harmless in that they cannot extract information from your hard disk, over which you maintain total control. magiclight.net uses cookies primarily to determine the amount of traffic on its site, to provide very useful information to it marketing department, and to customise your future use of the Site. This technology does not systematically provide magiclight.net with personal information about you, and at any time, you can change the configuration of your computer so that cookies are no longer accepted.

Q. Are all the products presented on the Web site available for immediate shipping?

The magiclight.net Web site posts all products available for order from our suppliers. Please note that these products are not necessarily part of the Web site's inventory.

Q. Can I find product availability on the Site?
A.
Unfortunately, it is impossible to have this information on the site. However, when ordering, you receive confirmation of product availability by email.

Q. Why do I have to open an account?
A.
If it's your first visit and you want to place an order, you must open an account and give us your name, your home address and your email address so we can deliver your order and send your invoice. A few seconds to open your account will not seem so long if you keep in mind the time you will save when you place your subsequent orders.

Placing an order

Q. What methods of payment are accepted?
A.
We accept
VISA and MasterCard as well as PayPal.

Q. Is it possible to place an order if I live elsewhere in the world?
A.
Yes but Shipping fees for all orders placed outside of Canada will be calculated manually by one of our customer care representatives. One of our representatives will contact you by e-mail with the total value of your order including the freight charges. Your order will be paid for by credit card.

Please note that our promotion for free delivery pertains exclusively to orders placed and shipped within Canada.

Any and all applicable duties will be assumed by the customer, for further information please contact your local customs office.

Back-ordered products

Q. My order contains back-ordered product(s), what are my options?
A.
If you want to renew your order for the back-ordered product(s), you must confirm your order at
shopping@magiclight.net .The product(s) will then be ordered immediately from our supplier(s) and shipped to you, without further notice, upon receipt. Payment for the product(s) will be automatically charged to your credit card account before the product(s) is(are) transferred for shipping.

If, on the other hand, you want to cancel your order for the product(s) on back order, you must do so by sending an e-mail to shopping@magiclight.net.

Delivery

Q. What are the available delivery methods, and how long does it take?
A.
Please consider that it is possible that your order will be delayed for a few days before being shipped to you, while we wait for one or more out-of-stock item to become available. Should you be in a hurry to receive one or more specific item in your order, we advise you to place a separate order for it.

Q. Can I use a P.O. Box as a delivery address?
A.
For reasons of security, Magic Light inc. does not deliver to Post Office Boxes.

Q. What taxes are applicable on merchandise?
A.
Magic Light inc. applies the taxes of the province where the order will be shipped.

Q. I placed my order quite a few days ago and I still haven't received anything…
A.
Check your email to see if you have received an "out of stock" notice or if there is a note to your customer account on the site. Check also to see if the delivery address and the electronic address that you have specified are correct. If there is an error, contact the Order Department at the following address: shopping@magiclight.net

If your customer account shows that your order has been shipped, contact the Order Department, which will then contact the transportation company you had chosen and initiate an inquiry.

Q. I've changed home and/or email address. Do I have to notify the Order Department?
A.
If you have a product on order with a supplier, it is important that you notify us of your address change(s) so that we can contact you once the items of your order have been received and deliver them to the correct address. If you don't have an outstanding order (item(s) not received) you need only make the change(s) to your customer account on the Web site.

Product returns

Q. What is the policy on returns?
R1
. 1. You may return products to Magic Light inc. at any time up to 15 days after receiving them, at the following address:

The products must be accompanied by the invoice and the order number

R2. You shall assume the delivery charges and the legal risks for products returned (except in the case where Magic Light inc. has not delivered to you the products you have ordered, or has delivered to you products that are damaged or defective, in which case Magic Light inc. will assume the delivery charges and the risks, as long as you return the products using a carrier that guarantees the risks of loss and damages);

R3. For the purposes of articles 1 and 2, you may not return products if you have removed the products from their original packaging or if these are damaged, except if the products are defective. If an item is defective, it will be exchanged for a new copy of the same product;

R4. Upon receipt of returned products, any sum debited from your credit card account in favour of Magic Light inc. with regard to these products, except delivery charges, will be credited as soon as possible, on the condition, however, that the products being returned are returned by you and received by Magic Light inc. in the same condition as that in which they were at the time they were delivered to you;

R5. It is also possible to return products ordered on the web site to Magic Light inc., under the conditions specified above, which will apply by making the necessary adaptations. The address of Magic Light inc. appears in the section “Contact us” of our web site.  In no case will Magic Light inc. reimburse delivery costs.
